The 3rd AURI Architecture and Urban Forum 2022 - 

'The Future of Architecture and Urban Space Interpreted Through Data'

The Architecture and Urban Research Institute (AURI) held the 3rd AURI Architecture and Urban Forum 2022 on Friday, December 2 at Insadong Court in Seoul. The AURI Architecture and Urban Forum is a venue for gathering expert opinions from various fields by selecting major issues as topics from among the research projects carried out by AURI. Under the theme of 'The Future of Architecture and Urban Space Interpreted Through Data', this forum was designed to examine changes and trends in the field of architecture and urban spaces from various angles.   

Following the keynote presentation 'Imagining Future Spaces' by Professor Jang Yoon-kyu of Kookmin University's Faculty of Architecture, the following sessions ensued: 'Movement and Lifestyles Embodied in Mobile Phone Data' by VWL Director Kim Seung-beom, 'Digital Transformation and Future Space Trends' by Ahn Ji-yong, Director of Space Research Institute at LG Management Research Institute, and 'Preventive Safety in Physical Environments!' by Cho Young-jin, Research Fellow at the Architecture and Urban Research Institute, ‘The Beginning of Big Data for Spatial Information in Buildings', and 'Application Cases of Digital Twin Technology in Urban Development and Operations’' by Vibe Company Vice President Park So-ah'.

In the general discussion that followed, Lee Young-beom, Director of the Architecture and Urban Research Institute, chaired a discussion with five speakers, and debated various issues such as data utilization and investment for policy and research in the field of urban architecture.
