2022 Asian Urban Landscape Award

The Architecture and Urban Research Institute co-hosts the '2022 Asian Urban Landscape Award' with the UN Habitat Fukuoka Headquarters, Fukuoka Asian Urban Research Institute, Asian Habitat Association, and Asian Landscape Design Society. The Asian Urban Landscape Award is given to cities, regions, and businesses that set an example for other cities and achieve the goal of building a happy living environment for Asian people.

Accordingly, eligible applicants for the award are Asian countries and regions, local governments and public institutions, NGOs and civic groups, academic research institutions, and companies related to urban planning, architectural design, landscape design and planning, etc. Large-scale projects that have contributed significantly ▲ Projects related to the protection and nurturing of natural and urban environments ▲ Buildings and projects that have contributed to regional development ▲ Projects in the design stage ▲ Organizations that have contributed to the development of the landscape are invited.

Applications will be accepted by August 5th, and the shortlisting process will be conducted in Korea.

On the other hand, a total of 11 works from five Asian countries including Korea were awarded the 2021 Asian Urban Landscape Award, where a total of 4 works were selected from Korea, i.e., 'Yangcheon Park', 'Geumbit Waterway', 'Seoul Landscape Recording Project', and 'Samgak Village.'
